How to Restore Your Website from a Backup

Restore website files and databases from cPanel backup on Ceyora hosting in Sri Lanka. Recovery guide after errors, hacks, or accidental deletion.

Backups are only useful if you can restore them. This guide covers recovery on Ceyora web hosting in Sri Lanka using cPanel backups.

Restore full account backup
  1. Log in to cPanel → Backup Wizard
  2. Choose Restore
  3. Upload or select your backup file
  4. Select components to restore (files, databases, email)
  5. Confirm — restoration may overwrite current data
Restore files only

Upload your home directory backup ZIP via File Manager and extract to the correct location, or use FTP to upload individual files.

Restore database only
  1. cPanel → phpMyAdmin
  2. Select the database
  3. Import your .sql backup file
Before restoring
